Liz Forrest – LL.B (Hons)
After completing her initial training at Howells, Liz worked in a number of other solicitors firms before rejoining Howells in 2001. With 16 years of experience, Liz undertakes the full range of matrimonial work, but specialises in domestic abuse and children work, Liz is a Resolution Accredited Specialist in the areas of children work and domestic abuse and is on the management committee of Sheffield Woman's Aid.
Sally Mangham
Sally has worked at a number of firms across South Yorkshire, specialising in the full range of family matters, including divorce, finances, private law children issues, injunctions and cohabitation disputes.
A Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives, Sally joined Howells in 2008.

Joanne Sandford - F.Ilex
Joanne joined Howells in 2000. She specialises in family law. She has a particular interest in domestic abuse cases and proceedings relating to the Children Act in particular difficult Children Act cases and abductions.
She has been a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives since 1999.
Alyson Siddall – BA (Hons)
Head of Howells Family Department, Alyson is a family law specialsit with more than two decades experience. Her areas of expertise include finance and property settlements - including a number of very high asset cases - divorce, injunctions and children work. Alyson is a Resolution accredited specialist in the areas of ancillary relief (advanced financial provisin) and private children law. Named in both Legal 500 and legal Experts in 2008, Alyson has an excellent reputation for her family law work. She is also a trained Collaborative lawyer having qualified in 2009.
Kathryn Elston
Kathryn joined Howells in 2000 and is a paralegal with more than 20 years experience in Family Law. Kathryn specialises in children work and domestic abuse cases. Kathryn has a particular interest in complex Children Act work.
Melanie Hadwin - LLB (Hons)
Melanie joined Howells in 2004 as a paralegal in the Family Department. After completing her training she qualified as a Solicitor in 2007. She undertakes the full range of matrimonial work but specialises in divorce and separation cases involving financial and property matters, children work and domestic abuse cases. She has a particular interest in dealing with Declarations of Parentage. Melanie is a Member of the Sheffield District Law Society Committee and hopes shortly to become a Member of the local Resolution Committee. Melanie is a Member of Resolution.
Simone Cheung - LLB (Hons)
Simone is a law graduate who works as a paralegal specialising in domestic abuse work, divorce and children work. Simone joined Howells in 2009.
Rotherham
Dawn Lowry
Dawn has more than a decades experience of legal work. She joined Howells in August 2006 and specialises in matrimonial work and domestic abuse.
Dawn is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives and a member of both the Law Society Family Law Panel and Resolution Accredited Specialist Panel.

Karen Murphy
Solicitor Karen Murphy joined the firm as a secretary in 2001. Following promotion to a paralegal position, she was the youngest person in Sheffield ever to become a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives.
Karen is also a member the Association of Lawyers for Children.
Chris Patrick – LL.B (Hons)
Based at our Rotherham office, Chris is a member of the Law Society’s Children Panel, which means he is able to specialise in public law proceedings representing children and other parties under the Children Act 1989.
He was admitted as a solicitor in 1994 and has a decade’s experience as a family law specialist.
Gemma Round – LL.B (Hons)
Gemma completed her law degree at the University of Northumbria in 2002 and completed her training contract in 2004. She joined Howells in 2006 and specialises in matrimonial work and domestic abuse.
