Howells recruit clinical negligence specialist

Howells Solicitors have expanded their team of specialist clinical negligence lawyers with the recruitment of senior solicitor Michelle Gyte.
Michelle, who joined the firm this week, has had nine years’ experience of clinical negligence work following completion of her law degree at Sheffield Hallam University and her Legal Practice Course at the University of Sheffield.

“I chose to specialise in clinical negligence because of the positive impact a successful claim can have on improving someone’s life after medical treatment goes wrong or an illness is misdiagnosed,” said Michelle.

“I have come across many cases where people have been left profoundly disabled as a result of the wrong treatment or a misdiagnosis and, although tragic situations like that can never be undone, it is rewarding to be able to help make someone’s life more comfortable with a successful clinical negligence claim.”

Isabel Lloyd Jones, who heads up Howells’ clinical negligence team, said that she was delighted to welcome Michelle to the firm.
“Clinical negligence is a very specialised area of law and finding top quality solicitors can be quite a challenge, so it’s great to have recruited someone with Michelle’s experience and commitment. This is a busy area of law and Michelle’s arrival will enable us to help even more clients in the future.”
